I am 59 years old and about a year ago I joined a gym with the goal of
increasing strength, mobility and just improving my health in general. I trained on my own for a time but
sensed that I really didnt know enough about the process to make the most effective use of my time. In
November 2019 I had the good fortune to meet Omar and he agreed to become my personal trainer and
fitness coach. Utilizing Omar services turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. Under his
direction, I have improved my health, strength and mobility profoundly.
When I began training with Omar, I weighed 205 pounds and was around 30% body fat. He tailored a
program with the goal of reducing my weight to 175 pounds and body to fat to around 15% while adding
some muscle mass. We began tracking meals, calories, macros and I was able to settle into a routine of a
slight calorie deficit. Under Omars direction, I was able to lose about a pound of fat per week and after
6 months of steady progress, we achieved our goal.
During my journey, the Covid-19 pandemic occurred and we lost access to the gym. Omar had the idea
of continuing to train virtually. I dont have a home gym, but with just some basic equipment and
